Current Actions of the company

As I do not hold a prestigious position in the company.... I do not have the authority to tell you all of the current actions of the company. Much of the stuff that goes on is a little secretive for confidentiality purposes and for that reason.... it is difficult for me to be able to tell you much of it. What I do think I can tell you is that much of our products are currently being testing by the government to see if it is good enough for them to use on roadways. This means highways and freeways. That is a lot of square footage of concrete. This would be huge for the company to attain. The bosses are confident that they will be thoroughly impressed with our product and then present a contract to our company. This will probably take a bit of time because multimillion dollar contracts seem to take a little time especially due to the economy in the rough times. Even though the economy is down in the dumps, Convergent Concrete Technologies has been able to push through. They have not only survived, but they continue to expand. That is a true sign of a successful company. Those that continue growing in hard times....

'who uses our product and why

As I had previously stated in a prior post, we sell to some major companies that you will recognize. Have you ever been walking down the isles of Home Depot only to notice that the floors are so smooth and glossy? Now, every time you walk down them, you can think Convergent Concrete Technologies. We provide that product to them. Not only does it last a very long time, it looks great. We also sell to Wal-mart, Costco, and many other major corporations. We have even provided the concrete densifiers for an NFL football stadium. That is a lot of concrete. They had to choose the best densifier to treat their concrete with so they wouldn't have to do it again in an X amount of years. People come to us because they know we are the best. Many of the major construction companies that we sell to I cannot disclose who they are because of a confidentiality agreement, but I assure you that we have our foot submerged very deeply into this market. Many use our product..... why? Because it is simply the best that money can buy.

How this would benefit the community

I can think of many ways that Convergent Concrete Technologies benefits the community. First off, one of my bosses, Kent Barrus, is always giving away 275 gallon totes for people to be able to have a sufficient water storage. He is a strong believer in preparation for the worst and he wants to help the community prepare for the hardships ahead. Countless times a month, people who I have never seen before come asking for Kent, they say that he had met them and had offered to give them a tote for their water storage. These totes cost about 100 dollars and it is very generous of kent to give them away to strangers.
Also, this new technology will ensure that our roads will last sooooooo much longer than what they used to. Have you ever been in a traffic jam because there was construction work ahead? That is the worst. It is even worse when you remember them doing the same job 2 years ago. Is this necessary? This new technology will insure a longer road life for our community which will lower tax dollars. Anybody would agree with this when our taxes our lowered so our roads can be better.

My thoughts on the growth of the company

I have worked with Convergent Concrete Technologies for almost two years now. The company is only about ten years old and has been expanding since its start. In the short time that I have been with them, we have had to move warehouses because we were not able to fit into our old one because of huge orders and insufficient room for raw materials. I remember have to move all of the orders that we had already completed outside in order to have room inside to continue producing product that we had to ship out that same day. I am so glad we moved warehouses because it has taken our stress levels down quite a bit. We have tons of room in our new one, but I can see that we will shortly and hopefully have to move again soon. That is all of our hopes. The bosses are very good at what they do and continually see that the company is run in a way that insures a steady growth. They are men that love to work out in the back with us as well unlike many bosses who only command and then sit behind their desks. I am truly privileged to work here.

A quote from Shane Vest

Shane Vest.... The director of marketing and sales at Convergent Concrete Technologies has been working with Lithium Polysilicate Densifiers for about seven years now and is confident in their performance and protection that they provide for construction jobs and owners of businesses that need a solid floor. Shane Travels all over the United States of America and even over seas to give sales presentations to contractors and various construction companies. He has worked very closely with huge corporations like Wal-mart, Home Depot, and Costco. "We are the main providers for Wal-mart, Home Depot, and Costco. We sell them our main product and then private label to two other companies that sell to them as well. We have pretty much got our foot in almost every major construction job in the U.S." Shane also commented how their company has been steadily growing and he hopes one day that they will be into the roadway industries.

Our lithium concrete densifiers

Last time, I discussed the sodium silicate concrete densifier. This time I will discuss why our lithium-based densifier is much more effective. Lithium is a much smaller molecule, allowing for a deeper penetration into the concrete. Why is this? It's because its molecular weight is much smaller than that of Sodium or Potassium. For that reason, lithium is able to penetrate about double what sodium can. This is only one reason why our densifier helps the concrete to last longer. Other reasons will later be discussed to fully convince you of the effectivness of our product. Remember, if it's not Lithium, its useless.

sodium and potassium concrete densifiers

Since World War 2, chemists have been treating concrete with mostly sodium and potassium concrete densifiers. These were great inventions causing the life of the concrete to be greatly extended. What the chemists did was to bond a sodium(in this example) molecule to a silicon molecule. The silicon molecule is the thing that actually causes the concrete to be more dense. The sodium molecule is the thing that is the transport for the silicon molecule. After the concrete is layed, the sodium silicate solution is scrubbed into the concrete. The sodium carrys the silcon molecule into the concrete allowing the silicon molecule to find pores and to fill them. Without these densifiers, those pores would remain and water would penetrate them. When water penetrates, it often freezed and then expands causing the concrete to crack very early in its life. These densifiers are necessary for the extension of the concretes life.
